About Fovea

Built after a long hunt for one good ad.

Fovea started as a creative library we built for a DTC watch brand. Their ads lived across Google Drive folders, and the ones that worked were the hardest to find.

The story

A library that knew what it was holding.

  1. Where it startedA searchable, AI-tagged library for one DTC brand
  2. July 2026Meta Ads sync and Stats join performance to creative
  3. July 2026Separate workspaces per brand, roles that can hide revenue, share pages
  4. October 2026Rebuilt as Fovea, open to any brand or agency
  1. 01 The folders

    Thousands of files, no memory.

A DTC watch brand asked Buildberg for help with its creative. Years of UGC, product shots and edits sat in Google Drive folders named by whoever uploaded them. Finding the hook that worked last season meant digging through folders by hand, and the numbers that proved it lived somewhere else entirely.

  2. 02 What we built

Every file tagged. Every ad scored.

We imported the archive, had AI tag each file for hook, angle, style, on-screen text and transcript, synced the Shopify catalog and pulled the Meta ad account in every night. The team could type a phrase, see every ad that said it, and see what each linked ad spent.

  3. 03 Why it became Fovea

The mess was not unique to one brand.

The brands and agencies we work with keep creative the same way: scattered folders and winners that get lost. So we rebuilt it for more than one brand, with isolated workspaces, roles that can hide revenue, and share pages for clients. That is Fovea.

The name

Why we called it Fovea.

The fovea is a tiny pit at the back of your eye, and it is where your vision is sharpest. Whatever you look at directly, you see with it. Everything else is peripheral: good at noticing movement, bad at detail.

A creative library has the same shape. Thousands of files sit in the periphery. The job is to bring the few that matter into focus, with the numbers that prove it.

Fovi, the o in our name, is a fovea with a body. It points at the thing.

Meet Fovi.

Fovi is the o in our wordmark and our guide around here. One eye, one job, five moods.

  • LookingWhat Fovi does all day: scanning the library for the thing that matters.
  • Found itA winner surfaced. Fovi wants you to see it first.
  • WowReserved for a hook rate that makes you sit up.
  • BlinkSyncing overnight. Back with fresh numbers by morning.
  • DoneTagged, linked and filed. Nothing left in the pile.

What we hold to.

  1. Point at the thing.

Every screen answers one question with a number and the creative it belongs to. If you have to hunt for the point, we have not made it yet.

  2. One sharp thing per screen.

The winner is big and everything else steps back. Scale, not decoration, tells you where to look.

  3. Your data stays yours.

Each brand lives in its own isolated workspace. Revenue can be hidden by role, so editors and agencies see share of spend instead of the books. Share pages show creative, never money.
