An example
Acme Watches has 6,000 videos from four years of shoots. Tagging each by hand at two minutes a file would take 200 hours. AI tagging labels the set in the background, and a designer can then search for UGC videos with a gifting angle that mention free engraving and get 14 results in seconds.
Why it matters
Creative libraries grow faster than anyone can label them, and untagged files are effectively lost. Tags are also what make creative analysis possible: you cannot compare results by angle or hook if nobody wrote the angle or hook down. AI makes mistakes, so the best setups let a person check what matters most, like the product shown.
How to improve it
Decide your tag vocabulary first (styles, angles, formats) so the model fills known fields instead of inventing new words for the same thing. Spot-check a sample each week, fix wrong tags, and treat product tags as suggestions until a person confirms them.
