An example
Acme Watches loads four videos, three headlines and three primary texts into one dynamic creative ad, which gives Meta dozens of possible combinations. After two weeks, one video and one headline appear in most delivered impressions. That tells the team where to focus, but not exactly which full combination drove each sale.
Why it matters
Dynamic creative is a fast way to let the system find good pairings without building every ad by hand. The trade-off is visibility: Meta notes that you only see aggregate performance across the delivered variations, and it does not recommend dynamic creative as a substitute for split testing.
How to improve it
Use it to explore, then confirm. Feed it genuinely different assets and copy, read the breakdowns to see which elements carry the spend, and rebuild the strongest pieces as standalone ads for a clean test.
