API keys
Create a Fovea API key to read your creative library, collections, products and ad performance from scripts, Zapier, Claude or Cursor.
An API key lets software act inside one workspace: a script that exports your winners, a Zapier zap, or an AI assistant connected through the MCP server. Keys work with the public API and the MCP server. They are included on every paid plan (Starter, Growth, Agency, Enterprise); they are not available during the free trial.
Create a key
- Open Settings > Integrations > API keys. Only workspace Admins can create and revoke keys.
- Select Create key, name it after where it will be used ("Zapier", "Claude Desktop"), and pick its access.
- Copy the key from the dialog. It starts with
fov_and is shown once: Fovea keeps only a one-way hash, so a lost key cannot be recovered. Create a new one instead.
Access (scopes)

A key never has more access than the person who created it. It acts with that person's current role in the workspace, so if their role changes, the key's access changes with it, and if they leave the workspace, their keys stop working.
Without the Money scope, money fields are left out of every response (they are not zeroed) and revenue_visible is false. A ROAS ranking falls back to spend order without showing amounts.

Send it as a bearer token:

Limits
- 120 requests a minute per key. Every response carries
X-RateLimit-Limit,X-RateLimit-RemainingandX-RateLimit-Reset; over the limit you get429withRetry-After. - Up to 25 active keys per workspace.
- Keys can expire after 30, 90 or 365 days, or never.
Revoke a key
Select Revoke next to the key. Anything using it stops working on its next request. Revoking cannot be undone.
